You release spores at a corpse within range to animate it as a spore servant under your command. You can only effect a creature of your medium size or smaller, and it has no effect on constructs, fiends, plants, or aberrations. The creature dies when it drops to 0 Hit Points or when the spell ends.
The creature is an ally to you and your allies. In combat, the creature shares your Initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It obeys your verbal commands (no action required by you). If you don’t issue any, it takes the Dodge action and uses its movement to avoid danger. Add the following traits to the spore servant.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. When using a spell slot above 6th level, you can animate a large creature.
