Curse of Internal Decay: The victim's body begins to rot from the inside out. This curse manifests as necrotic damage that gradually increases in severity over time. The curse cannot be removed by conventional means (such as lesser restoration) and can only be lifted by powerful magic (such as remove curse or greater restoration).

  • Turn 1-3: The target takes 1d4 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns.
  • Turn 4-6: The damage increases to 1d6 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns. The target has disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws.
  • Turn 7-9: The damage increases to 1d8 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns. The target has disadvantage on all attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws.
  • Turn 10-12: The damage increases to 1d10 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns. The target’s movement speed is halved.
  • Turn 13-15: The damage increases to 1d12 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns. The target is paralyzed for 1 round at the start of each of its turns unless it succeeds on a Constitution saving throw (DC 15).
  • Turn 16-18: The damage increases to 2d8 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns. The target must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 15) at the start of each of its turns or be incapacitated.
  • Turn 19-20: The damage increases to 2d10 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns. The target must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 18) at the start of each of its turns or die instantly. On a successful save, the target takes half damage and continues to be affected by the curse.
