You must have two hands free to cast this spell. You weave together threads of shadow to create a sword of solidified gloom in each of your hands. These magic swords last until the spell ends. They count as simple melee weapons with which you are proficient. They deal 2d8 psychic damage on a hit and have the finesse, light, and thrown properties (range 20/60). In addition, when you use one of the swords to attack a target that is in dim light or darkness, you make the attack roll with advantage.

If you are take the attack action and are holding both blades, you can make two attacks instead of one as part of the same action.

If you drop a weapon or throw it, it dissipates at the end of the turn. Thereafter, while the spell persists, you can use a bonus action to cause one or both swords to reappear in your hand.

At Higher Level: When you cast this spell using a 7th- or 8th-level spell slot, the damage for each blade increases to 3d8. When you cast it using a 9th-level spell slot, the damage increases to 4d8.
