You shoot a blast of energy that becomes larger on its next use. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 force damage. If vehemance is cast again at a hostile target within 1 minute, the damage die is increased by one point (1d8 is changed to 1d9 and so on). This can happen any number of times. If the cantrip is not cast at a hostile target for 1 minute, the damage die resets to 1d8.

This cantrip’s damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).
