You summon four colored goat creatures that appear in an occupied ally spaces that you can see within range. That ally creature gains one the following effects:
- Cotton Shield - The target gains 20 temporary HP.
- Steel Wool Shield - The target gains a bonus to its Armor Class, and total is increased by +2.
- Scapegoat Shield - The target gains 10 temporary HP, and its Armor Class total is increased by +1. When the temporary hit points remain, so does the AC bonus. When the temporary hit points are used up - the goat disappears as does the armor class bonus.
A creature summoned by this spell disappears when the creature it is targeting drops to 0 hit points, the shield it provides is used up, or when the spell ends. The summoned creatures are friendly to you and your companions. They cannot speak or act on their own, and all they do is orbit the target until dispelled or activated.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using certain higher-level spell slots, more creatures appear: twice as many with a 6th-level slot and three times as many with an 8th-level slot.
