You cloak yourself in a protective field that absorbs incoming magic, rejuvenating your mana reserves.
When you are the target of a spell that you can see (including spells that affect multiple targets, but not area spells such as fireball), you may use your reaction to make an ability check using your spellcasting ability. The DC equals 10 + the spell’s level. On a successful check, the spell has no effect on you and is absorbed by the field, though may still effect other creatures targeted by it. If you roll 5 or more higher than the spell level on your check, regain a spell slot of the same level as the spell that was cast against you, up to a maximum of 5th level.
Once you absorb a total of 6 levels of spells, the spell ends.
When cast with a higher level spell slot, the maximum level of regained spell slot equals one less than the slot you expended to cast this spell, and the total level of spells that can be absorbed before the spell ends equals the level of the spell.
