Each creature in a 30-foot Cone must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or drop whatever it is holding and have the Frightened condition for the duration.
A Frightened creature takes the Dash action and moves away from you by the safest route on each of its turns unless there is nowhere to move. If the creature ends its turn in a space where it doesn’t have line of sight to you, the creature makes a Wisdom saving throw. On a successful save, the spell ends on that creature.

Can't believe that I'm only just now realizing that this spell causes targets to drop their held items!
That makes this spell way better than I thought. I thought it was a new addition but its not.
I think it's easy to get it confused with Cause Fear, a similar lower-level spell that does not do that.
To be extremely pedantic, this spell seems to cause anyone with the Frightened condition, regardless of source, to have a fleeing behavior. Perhaps this was drafted before the Frightened condition was formalized?
Also, this is a little crazy for a 3rd level spell if executed RAI- if the doors are locked, it's one minute of only taking the dash action, with no saves either at the end of each round or when taking damage? That's really close to save or die.
When I run this, I'll be ignoring the whole Frightened buff and leave the condition as written elsewhere.
