You touch one Large or smaller object that isn’t being worn or carried by someone else. Until the spell ends, the object sheds Bright Light in a 20-foot radius and Dim Light for an additional 20 feet. The light can be colored as you like.
Covering the object with something opaque blocks the light. The spell ends if you cast it again.
* - (a firefly or phosphorescent moss)
Why is it still a DEX save if I can't target something worn or carried by someone else??
Yeah, the DEX Save needs to be removed from this. Just another oversight among many.
다른 사람이 들고 있거나 장비한 물건에 시전할 수 없게 되었으니 앞에 선 파이터에게 광선검을 만들어주고 싶다면 내가 들고 있는 검에 시전한 다음 넘겨주거나 해야 하겠네요
Now that you can't cast on object that is being worn or carried by someone else, if I want to make a lightsaber for a fighter, have to cast it on the sword i'm holding and then hand it over.
In the SPECIAL column in the Cleric spell list it does not show "M".
Then when I go into the spell itself it shows "M".
This is true of a number of spells in the special column in spell lists.
Is the special column in the spell list of any use if I have to go into each spell to find out the requirements?
The SPECIAL column only shows "M" when their is a material cost that can NOT be replaced by a spellcasting focus or component pouch
This column also displays if you can cast the spell as a Ritual "R", or if it requires Concentration "C".
Can we just drop the object on the ground to cast it on it? Or the light stops as soon as the object moves?
You don't need to drop the object. It says an "object that isn’t being worn or carried by someone else". You can cast it on something you're wearing or carrying just fine.
Moving the object doesn't end the light effect.
No longer works on people just objects. That sucks.
Strictly speaking, it was never possible to cast it on a person, though you used to be able to cast it on things other people were carrying if they failed a Dexterity save. You can still cast it on something you're carrying.
so could I take our fighters sword hold it cast light on it & hand it back to them? Will this work?
Yes, that works just fine.
