This spell is brutal with an Illusionist lol. The party can attempt to sneak up to a target and if the Illusionist has at least 1 minute, they could make an Adamantine Cage of variable size from 90ft away or drop a 5ft cube of granite stone on an enemy.

Can I create a ball of iron inside an enemy within 30 ft? Right where its brain was. No attack. No save? 

Doubt it. It's up to the DM, though.

In my opinion, it looks too powerful. With the same logic you can use cantrip "Shape Water" to finish off any bleeding creature.

When casting a spell, you generally can't target a point that you can't see, unless the spell description explicitly says you can.

Using this spell and Nystul's Magic Aura you can create an expensive object, like a work of art, a fine piece of furniture or a suit of armor, and make it appear real, even to Detect Magic.  You could then sell it.  I of course recommend you don a disguise when doing so, or make sure you leave town immediately after, as the object will disappear within an hour or a day,

1. alchemist artificer spends years creating even the smallest amount of plutonium

2. spellcaster #2 creates a magical barrier (idk what spell) between the party and the bbeg

Well, I'm not sure you're aware, but I'm pleased to tell you that Fabricate still exists. It's a 4th level Wizard spell, if you're looking for it.

how about a 5ft radius sphere of concentrated hydrogen cyanide gas. And since its technically vegetable matter (cherry pits) it last 24 hours..

If you can find a DM willing to allow that, more power to you. I probably wouldn't allow it, for any of the following reasons:

• Calling a ball of gas an "object" is a big stretch
• Calling hydrogen cyanide "vegetable matter" is a big stretch (cherry pits certainly are, but hydrogen cyanide itself is in kind of a wishy washy area between organic and inorganic compounds)
• The spell says you have to have seen the form and material before, and hydrogen cyanide can't really be seen in its gaseous state

If you wanted to use the spell to create a block of cherry pits, and then turn it into cyanide yourself, that I'd probably allow.
