The spell captures some of the momentum of any attack, spell, or effect that deals bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage, lessening its effect on you and storing it for your next melee attack.

The first attack on your next turn has a +2 bonus to hit and deals extra 1d10 damage. You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage until the start of your next turn, including to the triggering effect.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The damage increases by 1d10 and the attack bonus increases by 2 for each spell slot level above 2.
