You throw your hands forward and after a split second delay a powerful gust of wind batters the intended target and throws them backwards. The target must make a Strength saving throw. It takes take 2d6 Bludgeoning damage and is pushed 10 feet away on a failed save, or half the damage and isn't moved on a successful one.
Alternatively, you can choose to push a creature 30 feet away but it takes no damage. It is only pushed 15 feet on a successful save.
Any creature smaller than Medium has disadvantage on the saving throw.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st and the distance pushed increases by 5 feet.
