Your hand or another appendage is sheathed in smoking, bubbling acid. Make a melee spell attack. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 points of acid damage. If the target is metallic or stony, the damage increases to 1d12. The touch also dissolves through ⅛” of common metals per touch.

This spell’s damage increases by one die when you reach 5th level (2d8 or 2d12), 11th level (3d8 or 3d12), and 17th level (4d8 or 4d12).
