Baleful Omen

You unveil a shard of lightning from the Elemental Planes, creating a lightning slash in a 15-foot cone in front of you. Creatures in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 1d8 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. Afterwards, 4 creatures of your choice within 30 feet of you are blessed by an ominous eye that floats above them. While you maintain concentration, blessed creatures deal an additional 1d8 lightning damage on the first attack that hits each turn.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for every two slot levels above 3rd.
