Description: You summon the power of the earth to surge upwards and forcefully push creatures away. A section of solid ground within range erupts like a piston, driving enemies away with immense force.
Choose a 5-foot-square centered area of ground that you can see within range. A pillar of earth thrusts upward from that spot, pushing all creatures in the area. Each creature in the area must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 3d8 bludgeoning damage and is pushed 15 feet directly away from the pillar and knocked prone. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and isn’t pushed or knocked prone.
Additional Effects:
- Obstacles: If a creature is pushed into a solid object or another creature, it takes an additional 1d8 bludgeoning damage for each 5 feet it couldn’t be pushed.
- The pillar of earth remains for the duration of the turn and then crumbles back into the ground, leaving difficult terrain in its place.
- If a creature is reduced to 0 Hp is pushed 30 feet instead.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd, and the area you can affect increases by an additional 5 feet (making it a 10-foot-square at 4th level, etc.).
