Haunting Memory
4th-level enchantment
- Casting Time: 1 action
- Range: 60 feet
- Components: V, S
- Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
Description: You invade the mind of a creature within range, bombarding it with vivid, disorienting flashes of its past—whether real or imagined. These glimpses range from haunting visions, such as witnessing its own death, to heartwarming memories, like seeing a parent at a childhood recital. The intensity of these memories overwhelms the creature, causing it to lose control of its senses and collapse in confusion.
The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is overwhelmed by the visions and suffers the following effects for the duration:
- The creature has disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws.
- The creature fall prone, as it is overwhelmed by the force of the visions.
At the end of each of its turns, the creature can make another Wisdom saving throw. On a success, the spell ends.
On a successful initial save, the creature experiences fleeting visions and suffers disadvantage on its next attack roll or ability check, but no further effects.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 4th.
