As you hit the target, your weapon blights the target with weakening poison, and your attack deals an extra 2d6 poison damage to the target. In addition, the target is poisoned. An affected target can make a Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the spell on a success.
If the target is a fiend or undead, the spell deals acid damage instead. If the target normally has immunity to the poisoned condition, it is not considered immune for the duration of this spell, but instead has advantage on the saving throw to resist.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the initial extra damage dealt by the attack increases by 1d6 for each slot.
