Touching a willing beast with which you have developed a friendly relationship, you open your mind and soul to a connection with it. Provided that the beast is willing, the connection is successful. While bound to a beast you gain multiple benefits through the soul bind.

You gain temporary hitpoints at the start of each day equal to your bound beast's number of hit die.
Should your bound beast die, it takes a cataclysmic toll on your mind and soul. Upon your beast's death you suffer 1d4 levels of exhaustion and while you suffer this exhaustion your hitpoint maximum is reduced by the number your bound beast's hit die randomly roll.
