You create a swirl of dark energy around a creature you touch.  The target takes 4d6 necrotic damage and its movement is reduced to 0 until the start of its next turn.

At Higher Levels.  When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
