You reach into the mind of up to 3 creatures within range, creating a Vision of the Far Realm. Aberrations are unaffected. All other creatures must make a Wisdom taking 8d6 psychic damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one. In addition, on a failed save the creatures are stunned. At the end of each of their turns, affected creatures can make a Wisdom saving throw. It they succeed, this effect ends for that target.
Finally, if a victim takes any damage, they get another saving throw to end the spell for them.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, you can target one additional victim for each slot level above 4th.

Posted Oct 20, 2019This spell has the following advantages:
1) It is a divination spell that does damage - Wizards of the Divination tradition really like that, as it gives them a spell slot of one level less when they cast it.
2) It damages upto 3 people of your choice within 60 ft of you, making it far more useful in most combat situations than spells like fireball. But the damage is significantly less than fireball and does not go up when you cast at a higher level (instead you get more targets).
3) It does psychic damage, which is rare to find creatures resistant or immune to
4) It also stuns people without a concentration check (only 5 rounds max), but only as long as they fail wisdom saves - and they get additional saves if they take damage.
