The Binding Contract creates a magical bond between two willing creatures for a specific period or until a task is completed. Upon casting, the creatures can temporarily communicate telepathically within 120 feet and share one skill (chosen at the time of casting) that isn’t tied to race or bloodline. Each creature can borrow that skill for the duration of the contract. Both parties must agree to the terms of the contract, which must be equal in nature (e.g., one cannot borrow an ability without giving something in return).
If the contract is broken prematurely or the terms are violated by one of the parties, both creatures suffer a backlash, taking 3d8 psychic damage and losing access to the shared skill for the next 24 hours.
This contract requires consent from both creatures; otherwise, the spell fails.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the duration of the bond can extend up to one week, and the telepathic range increases to 1 mile.
