Weave of False Fate is a potent 6th-level necromancy spell that allows the caster to manipulate the very threads of destiny. The caster selects a single event they know they will face within the next 24 hours—such as a dangerous encounter, a critical decision, or an irresistible strike. This spell grants the caster the ability to alter the outcome of that definite event, shifting it into a favorable result entirely within the caster's control. Upon casting, the target must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 18). If the target fails, the caster gains increased control over both their fate and the target’s, twisting all reality to manipulate a single future event. The specific future event can range from a deadly blow that would strike the caster to a potential catastrophic failure (combat, negotiations, survival check, etc.), transforming the result—failure becomes critical success, success turns to flawless victory, disaster becomes fortune. The effect prevents immediate backlash from major changes in outcomes; however, grave consequences may unfold in the future, either to the caster, the target, or both. The Weave of False Fate carries unpredictable side effects, including extreme distortions of luck for both the caster and the target. For 1 minute after the spell, both must roll with disadvantage on any ability checks or saving throws they attempt, as reality adjusts itself to the altered destiny. If the target saves successfully, the caster temporarily loses control of fate, and failure viciously rebounds upon them: they must suffer either disadvantage on their next three attack rolls, saving throws, or skill checks (caster’s choice), incurred by the twisting of the Weave. Beware—while no immediate backlash will occur from changing fate, there will always be a price to pay in the future. Fate may demand a balance in months, years, or decades, but it always collects its due. The caster can use this spell once per day; repeated use within 24 hours leads to inevitable chaos, where neither caster nor target can predict the far-reaching consequences of meddling with fate.
