When you cast Whirlpool Teleportation, you create a swirling vortex of seawater beneath your ship. The powerful whirlpool pulls the ship and all its crew into its depths, transporting them across vast distances. Moments later, the ship reappears at a new location, emerging from a similar whirlpool.

The caster must be on the ship to perform this spell, and you can teleport the ship to any point within 10 miles that you can visualize or have seen before. The teleportation is instant, and the ship reappears as if rising from the depths of the sea, emerging from a calm, closing whirlpool.

If the destination is already occupied by another ship or obstacle, the spell fails and the ship remains where it is. The spell can be used to escape a dire situation, close in on an enemy, or bypass natural obstacles like reefs or storms.

Limitations:

  • Occupied Space: If the destination is occupied by another ship or a large obstruction, the spell fails, and the ship does not teleport.
  • Inexact Landing: If the caster has only a vague idea of the destination, the ship might appear within 1d10 x 100 feet of the intended location.
