By drawing upon the primal magic within your blood, you channel the raw essence of life force into your body, empowering your form but at a cost. When casting this spell, you must sacrifice hit points equal to 1d8 + your Wisdom modifier, or you can choose to use the blood of another willing creature within 5 feet, who sacrifices the hit points instead.
While the spell is active, you gain the following benefits:
- Increased Physicality: You gain a +2 bonus to Dexterity.
- Wild Resilience: You gain temporary hit points equal to the hit points you sacrificed. These temporary hit points can stack if you sacrifice more hit points over multiple rounds.
- Primal Magic: Your spells become infused with the essence of blood magic. When you deal damage with a druid spell that requires a saving throw or attack roll, you can add an additional 1d6 damage of the same type as the spell.
- Bestial Speed: Your speed increases by 15 feet.
- Thickened Skin: You gain resistance to one damage type of your choice: bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing.
The spell ends if your hit points are reduced to 0.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the base hit point sacrifice increases by 1d8 for every level above 4th, and the bonus damage dealt by your spells through Primal Magic increases by 1d6 per additional level.
