You toss the small jewellery box onto the ground and speak the magic words. The small box begins to grow; while growing, the lid opens as teeth begin to sprout. Its insides turn from standard box into the moist bowles of a mimic. 4 eyes open on the top of the lid. A massive tongue grows and hangs outside the box. When the spell finishes, it closes back up, appearing to be a normal chest.
The caster may open the lid and use the mimic as a normal chest. So can anyone else the caster allows. If someone besides the caster or those allowed attempts to open the chest, it acts like a normal mimic. All items stored in the mimic disappear into an extra dimensional space after the spell ends. The spell must be cast again to retrieve the items.
The caster may also command the mimic to fight. But if the mimic dies, all the items it’s carrying on death explode from it, showering a 10-foot area of the mimics body in loot.
