The Rectified version of Beast Bond has the following adjustments:

This spell can be cast on any beast regardless of intelligence score. It can also be cast on any animal companion, familiar, or similar companion creature obtained through a spell or class feature regardless of creature type.

Upcasting: When cast with a spell slot of second level or higher, the spell no longer requires concentration.
