You conjure a writhing, living ring of swarming beasts, composed of various small animals native to your environment—swarms of rats, insects, snakes, birds, or other creatures—which surround a 20-foot-radius circle centered on a point you choose within range, that is up to 40ft tall.. The animals within this ring move with relentless ferocity, forming a living barrier that restricts movement and harasses those who attempt to cross or enter.

While concentrating the following effects are active:

  1. Impassable Swarm:
The swarming beasts form a solid living wall around the edge of the ring, making it impossible for creatures to pass through by normal means and provides total cover. Any creature that tries to enter or leave the ring must make a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC.

    • On a failed save, the creature is pushed back 5 feet, taking 2d8 piercing damage as the animals bite, sting, or strike them.
    • On a successful save, the creature pushes through the swarms but still takes half damage as it passes through the hostile creatures.
  2. Restricting Movement: Creatures attempting to teleport into or out of the ring find their path blocked by the swarming creatures. Creatures using teleportation or dimensional travel (such as Misty Step, Dimension Door, or similar magic) must first make a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the attempt to teleport or move via magical means fails, and expends that use of their action.
