You call forth the spirit of a renowned ancestor to fight alongside you. It manifests in an unoccupied space that you can see within range. This corporeal form uses the Ancestral Spirit stat block. When you cast the spell, choose an ancestor type: Warrior, Arcanist, or Saint. The creature's ancestor type determines one of the traits in its stat block. The creature disappears when it drops to 0 hit points or when the spell ends.

The creature is an ally to you and your companions. In combat, the creature shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It obeys your verbal commands (no action required by you). If you don’t issue any, it takes the Dodge action and uses its move to avoid danger.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, use the higher level wherever the spell’s level appears in the stat block.

Living Legacy (1/Day). When you fail a saving throw while within 5 feet of the ancestor, you can choose to reroll that saving throw. You must use the new roll.

Actions

Multiattack. The ancestor takes a number of actions from those below equal to half this spell’s level (rounded down).

Legendary Weapon (Warrior Only). Melee Weapon Attack: your spell attack modifier + 1 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d10 + 4 + the spell’s level slashing damage.

Arcane Barrage (Arcanist Only). Ranged Spell Attack: your spell attack modifier to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 1d6 + 2 + the spell's level force damage.

Spark of Divinity (Saint Only). The ancestor forces a creature of its choice within 60 feet of it to make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the target takes 1d8 + the spell's level radiant damage.

Prayer of Vigor (Saint Only). The ancestor grants you temporary hit points equal to twice the spell's level if you're within 30 feet of it.

Reactions

Protect the Bloodline (3/Day). When an attack hits you, if the ancestor is within 5 or 30 (Arcanist only) feet of you, it grants you a +2 bonus to AC against the attack, possibly turning a hit into a miss.
