The target makes a wisdom saving throw. On a failed save you turn the target into some guy named Dave, and they lose all recollection of their former life, family, friends, and home. They are Dave now, a normal dude who works a 9-5 at a local tavern. Reality itself has bent to make their situation make sense. A wife and kids, parents, and workfriends produced by the very cosmos to make their situation completely explainable, ordinary, and unmagical. The minds of anyone who once knew them are stripped of all memory of them. 

A target currently experiencing an existential crisis or who has experienced an existential crisis in the last 48 hours fails the save automatically
