Shoot out a strike of slashing winds at a target in range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 slashing damage.

These slashes are strong enough to cut through skin, clothing, rope, and wood thinner than 6 inches in width. 

The spell creates more slashes when you reach higher levels: two slashes at 5th level, three slashes at 11th level, and four slashes at 17th level. You can direct the slashes at the same target or at different ones. Make a separate attack roll for each.

Alternatively you can combine two or more slashes to make one strong slash. This strong slash does an extra 1d10 slashing damage per extra wind slash you put into it. With any extra slashes being fired off normally.
