As part of casting this spell, you must expend one hit die or the spell automatically fails. If you do, roll the expended hit die, and the creature suffers necrotic damage equal to the number rolled on the hit die plus your spell casting modifier per round until the spell ends.
By extending your hand, you begin to make the targets blood boil within its veins. The target must make a constitution saving throw at the end of his/her turn or suffer necrotic damage equal to the number rolled on your expended hit die plus your spell casting modifier. The damage will be re-rolled after each failed saving throw. While under the effects of this spell, the target makes all attacks and ability checks at disadvantage.
The spell ends after the target successfully passes a constitution saving throw.
If this spell is active after three consecutive rounds, the target must use their action to roll a death saving throw as their veins begin to stress under the pressure of the boiling blood within. The target will suffer critical damage plus spell casting modifier after each death saving throw regardless if they are successful or not.
The spell ends after a successfully passing a death saving throw.
If the target fails a second death saving throw, their veins burst causing major internal bleeding and death.
You may upcast this spell by using a spell slot of a higher level and hit dice equal to the spell slot consumed. Up casting this spell will allow one additional target per level of upcasting.
