You touch a creature that is already afflicted by one or more curses you have placed. Through this spell, you may curse not just the individual, but also the bonds that tie them to others—whether by blood, membership in a group, or affiliation with a community. The target makes a Wisdom saving throw, with a penalty of 1d4 per curse they are already under. On a failed save, the curse spreads to others connected to the target based on the nature of their bond.

When casting this spell, you choose the nature of the cursed connection:

  • Bloodline: The curse is passed down to all direct descendants (children, grandchildren, etc.).
  • Organization: The curse affects members of an organization or group (such as a knightly order, cult, or guild) that the target belongs to.
  • Community: The curse spreads through a tight-knit community, such as a village or a family clan.

Once the curse spreads, each member of the targeted group (whether by blood, affiliation, or community) must make a Wisdom saving throw or inherit the curses as described. Any member who succeeds on their saving throw must repeat it every 24 hours while they remain associated with the cursed group. New members added to the group (whether by birth or joining) must also make this saving throw when they join.

If at least one member of the group remains cursed, all other members—whether cursed or not—must continue making the saving throw once per day as long as they remain connected to the group. Even those who had their curse removed through means such as a Remove Curse must make this saving throw. The curse persists until no cursed individuals remain in the group.

When you cast this spell, you may set a condition under which the curse may be broken for the entire bloodline, such as a specific deed, sacrifice, or ritual. If the condition is fulfilled, all descendants and the original target are immediately freed from the curse. Otherwise, the curse persists for future generations.

Limitations: The size of the affected group is limited to a small village or a similar-sized organization. If the target is part of a larger group or community (such as a large city or kingdom), only the most influential or highest-ranking individuals can be cursed. The DM has final discretion over the extent of the curse's reach.
