Burning Brand

You immolate your hands and brand a target with a simple symbol or word anywhere on their exposed body. Make a melee spell attack against a creature within your reach. On a hit, the target takes 2d10 Fire damage, and you can leave a permanent scar of a simple design of your choice on an area of their exposed body. 

When you cast this spell, you can choose to reduce its damage to 0.

The scar can be healed by Greater Restoration or similar more powerful magic.
