Any character without Soul Shards who attempts to cast this spell immediately drops to 0 Hit Points after casting it and begins making Death Saving Throws. Their Hit Points can only be increased once they have stabilized and can only be stabilized by succeeding on three Death Saving Throws. If they die while in this state, they cannot be revived by any means short of a Wish spell.
You channel the deepest reserves of your own soul to incinerate a target's essence. Choose one creature you can see within range to make a Constitution saving throw or take 20d10 Radiant damage or half as much on a success.
You immediately suffer 1 level of Exhaustion and cannot regain Hit Points until you finish a Long Rest.
A creature killed by this spell has their soul destroyed and cannot be revived by any means, nor can their soul be consumed.
