On a hit, the target takes 1d8 damage. This spells distance is counted as movement speed, as you can pivot and redirect the spell midflight to its maximum distance. You may choose to concentrate on the spell to keep a beam/ beams held statically in place, to be fired for the rest of its movement speed in a singular direction at a later turn this costs 1 bonus action. only one cast may be suspended at any given time.
Cantrip Upgrade. The spell creates two beams at level 5, three beams at level 11 and 4 beams at level 17. You can direct the beams at the same target or at different ones. Make a separate attack roll for each beam.
