You unleash the relentless passage of time along a line, causing everything in its path to rapidly age and decay. Non-magical objects and structures within the area deteriorate, becoming brittle or collapsing entirely as if subjected to centuries of wear. Plants wither, wood rots, and metal corrodes in an instant.
Each creature within the line must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature’s body struggles to withstand the accelerated aging, gaining one level of exhaustion and becoming unable to regain hit points for 1 minute. At the end of each of its turns, the creature must reattempt the saving throw. Each failed saving throw adds an additional level of exhaustion, up to a maximum of 5 levels from this effect. If the creature succeeds on any subsequent saving throw, the effect ends for that creature immediately. They no longer gain exhaustion levels or suffer from the inability to regain hit points.
While under this effect, any magical items worn or carried by the creature lose their magical properties, their essence faltering under the strain of the spell. The items regain their properties once the effect ends for the creature.
