Ward of Power

You create a minor ward of magical force around a creature within range. For the next minute, any damage the warded creature takes is reduced by 1d8 plus your spellcasting ability modifier.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage reduction increases by 1d8 for every two slot levels above 3rd.
