Blackhole (9th-level Evocation)
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 1-mile radius
Components: V, S (Must have all spell slots to cast.)
Duration: Instantaneous
Description:
You invoke the primal forces of the universe, drawing upon the immense power of a collapsing star to create a singularity. Upon casting this spell, a black hole forms at your location, distorting reality itself. The gravitational pull of the black hole causes a catastrophic event that consumes everything within a 1-mile radius.
-
The black hole instantly grows to a massive size, pulling in all matter, energy, and even light within a 1-mile radius. All creatures and objects within range will die instantly, be completely obliterated, and consumed by the singularity.
-
Objects: All nonmagical objects within the radius are instantly destroyed. Magical items are unaffected by the force of the black hole, though they are still pulled toward the singularity and may be destroyed or warped depending on their magical properties.
-
The caster: You, the caster, are unable to escape the gravitational pull of the black hole. The immense energy of the singularity destroys you in the process. Upon casting, your body is crushed and obliterated, your essence torn apart by the intense forces of the black hole. You die immediately unable to be revived.
-
Aftermath:
After the spell ends, a permanent rift in reality remains where the black hole once existed, a distorted space that cannot be healed by any means. The area around the black hole becomes a void zone, difficult to traverse and causing unnatural weather and magical interference for miles.Magical effects: Arcane magic within the radius becomes warped, and creatures that attempt to cast spells within the void zone must make a DC 18 Intelligence saving throw or suffer a wild magic surge. Any spellcasters within the area are at risk of losing control of their magic.
