One creature you can see in range is forced to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a magic mouth appears on their face and the caster chooses between the following effects.
- Mocking Mouth: The mouth whispers insults into the creature's ear, giving them disadvantage on Attack Rolls and Charisma checks.
- Rowdy Mouth: The mouth repeatedly shouts “look at me”, giving the creature disadvantage on Charisma checks and making it impossible for them to hide from hearing creatures.
If a creature tries to shut the mouth up, it will move to another part of their body and can choose to make an opportunity attack. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw or take 1d4 psychic damage as the mouth insults their mother or appearance.
At the end of each of the creature’s turns, they can make another wisdom saving throw, on a success the spell ends.
When there are multiple bad-mouths or when one meets a magic mouth, they tend to be quite chatty and enjoy discussing topics like politics, philosophy and ice cream flavours.
At higher levels: For each spell slot above 1st, you can target one additional creature.
