You hum, whistle, or sing a specific tune that resonates with the soul of a friendly creature within range. The target must be an ally known to you. The song floats through the air at a rate of 1 mile per round, magically seeking the target and urging them to come to your location.
The target creature feels an overwhelming sense of urgency to reach you. If the caster is in extreme distress, the creature becomes aware of the distress but does not know the source of the danger. The creature does not inherently know who cast the spell, only that it is being summoned by an ally.
The spell automatically fails if either the caster or the target is blocked by at least 1 foot of wood or 6 inches of cement or metal. The caster knows how far the call travels before reaching its target or if it fails to reach the target at all.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the range increases by 1 mile per spell level above 1st.
