By casting this spell you call upon a small Spirit Animal from the local nature spirits or the Feywild. This spirit appears as a tiny or small beast made of Ethereal mist and it is incorporeal and immune to damage. This spirit animal will follow the caster, and can move at whatever speed is needed to keep pace. It understands your spoken commands and can scout around so long as it does not move more than 120 feet away from the caster. If the caster is able to Speak With Animals they can understand what it says.
Once per long rest the Spirit Animal can provide the caster a bonus of 1d4 to a Saving throw, or ability check.
The Spirit Animal will behave like a slightly smarter and more curious version of the animal it resembles. While it does understand the spoken commands of the caster it does not always follow them, and may become unhelpful if ignored, or small treats it would enjoy are not burned to ashes for it to enjoy their essence.
If the Spirit Animal is dismissed or Dispelled it can be summoned back by casting this spell again.
