This spell allows the caster to create a small unique illusionary mark on a non living item that they can touch, and a matching mark on a card, or in a book, or on parchment or a scroll. Whenever the two identical marks are within 5 feet of each other they will glow and become larger making the markings easier to read. 

These catalog marks can be removed with a dispel magic, or by damaging the part of the object or text that contains the mark. However if one of the matched sets of marks is destroyed or removed, the other mark will change color and appearance in such a way as to indicate that the other mark is gone, and to stand out under casual inspection. 

The caster can remove any of their marks by touching it with their arcane focus, which will erase both of the matched marks.
