You manipulate the flow of time within a creature’s body, aging it forward or backward. Choose one creature within range that you can see. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, you choose one of the following effects:
-
Age: The target advances to the later stages of its lifespan. It gains insight and resilience but suffers physical frailty. While aged:
- The target has advantage on Wisdom and Intelligence checks and saving throws.
- The target has disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity checks and saving throws.
- The target's speed is reduced by 10 feet.
-
Unage: The target regresses to its adolescent years. It becomes spry and quick but emotionally erratic and less perceptive. While unaged:
- The target has advantage on Dexterity and Charisma checks and saving throws.
- The target has disadvantage on Wisdom and Intelligence checks and saving throws.
- The target's speed increases by 10 feet.
At the end of each of its turns, the target can make another Constitution saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
If the target remains affected for the spell’s full duration, the effect lingers for 1 hour after the spell ends. This lingering effect can be removed with Lesser Restoration or a similar spell.
The spell cannot alter a creature’s lifespan, natural abilities tied to age (e.g., a dragon’s age category), or transform a creature into infancy or beyond its species' natural maximum age.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 4th.
