You open your senses to obstacles in your environment, using the essence of danger as your mind's guide. You hold the golden caltrop out before you while imagining a type of hazard that may cross your path, then it disintegrates after emitting a pulse of dim golden light. The light sweeps up to 1,000 ft away from you in all directions as a gentle shockwave that passes over structures and terrain.
When you cast this spell, choose one from among traps or wards. Depending on your selection, you become aware of the general location of any entities within range whose description matches the category you chose. If it is a trap, you know whether or not it is armed, but not the nature of the trap's function or its appearance. Likewise, if you detect a glyph or ward, you know there is a magical presence but not its school of magic or its function.
You recall the location of these entities while you are concentrating on the spell, up to 10 minutes, after which you remember only a vague approximation of any entities that were more than 30 feet from you when the spell ended.
