“When the Starborn ignites their inner flame, their light becomes a sanctuary for the righteous and a bane to darkness.”
Lore:
Starborn are the living essence of celestial guidance, their very presence inspiring hope and warding off despair. The Beacon of Light, affectionately called the "Lighthouse" by travelers, is a manifestation of their protective nature. Legends speak of wandering adventurers finding their way out of endless night or cursed lands by following the radiant call of a Starborn. For creatures of evil and darkness, the beacon is a terrifying symbol of their undoing, burning away shadows and malice in its light.
Effects:
When you activate the Beacon of Light, you unleash a radiant burst of celestial energy that has the following effects:

- On a failed save:
- They take 2d10 radiant damage.
- Their movement is halved while in the light.
- On a successful save, they take half damage but are unaffected otherwise.
-
Shield of Hope:
- Allies within the light gain the following benefits:
- Advantage on saving throws against being charmed, frightened, or possessed.
- Resistance to necrotic damage.
- Allies within the light gain the following benefits:
-
Compelling Radiance:
- As an action while the beacon is active, you can focus its energy on a single target within 60 feet. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of your next turn.
Visual Flavor:
When the Beacon is activated, a golden pillar of light erupts skyward from the Starborn, glittering with motes of starlight. The air hums with celestial energy, and the ground within the light's radius glows faintly, as though blessed by the heavens. Shadows twist and flee from its presence, and any lingering darkness is utterly banished.
