When you cast this spell, you place a ward on a passageway (such as a door or window) no larger than 10 feet in diameter. Casting this spell can only be done by a cleric, borrowing power from their god to bestow a protection against creatures that are not immediately recognized as inhuman. This ward fails if the passageway that the ward is placed on is structurally damaged. Repairing the passageway does not restore the ward and the ward will need to be recast to achieve the desired affect.

The divine ward itself is invisible, but traces of the divine can be discovered by making a successful Intelligence check against your save DC. A successful check also reveals what deity the ward was blessed by.

The ward triggers twice and can only be triggered by a creature with the shapeshifter quality. The first trigger occurs at a 10 foot radius to the ward. At this point, the creature must make a successful constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or be deterred from the area. Creatures deterred from the area cannot walk towards the warded passageway. The second trigger happens when the creature comes within 5 feet of the warded passageway. At this point, the divine blessing bestowed with the ward activates and fires a beam of radiant energy from the ward. Triggering the ward does not end the spell.

Radiant Blessing. The ward deals 4d10 radiant damage to a creature that comes within 5 feet of the warded passageway.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the material components cost 50 gp more for each level above 2nd and the damage of an radiant blessing increases by 1d10 and the duration extends for another day for each slot level above 2nd. 

Permanent Ward. After the ward is cast on the same passageway for seven consecutive days, the ward remains until the passageway is structurally damaged or the ward is dispelled.
