You summon spectral chains that bind the mind and body of a creature within range. The chains shimmer with an ominous glow, wrapping around the target and tethering them to your will.
The spectral chains are visible to all, wrapping tightly around the creature's limbs and chest. They emit a faint crimson glow, marking the target as magically bound.
The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be dominated by you. If hostile toward you, it has advantage on the saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is subject to the following effects for the duration:
- The targets speed is 0 when not obeying a command.
- At the start of each of the target’s turns, it takes 2d8 psychic damage as the chains tighten, if they are refusing your command.
- Allies of the bound creature within 10 feet may use an action to attempt an Arcana check (DC = your spell save DC). On a success, they determine general direction of the caster as they notice the chains pull the target away from that area.
- If the spell ends or is dispelled, the creature remembers its actions during the domination but cannot directly identify the caster unless it succeeds on a Wisdom saving throw.
