Arcane Needle

You create a small lancing needle of magical force that penetrates everything in its path. The needle flies out in 100-foot-long, 5-foot-wide Line from you in a direction you choose, and the Line penetrates through walls and other obstacles, but not a Wall of Force. Each creature in the Line makes a Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d4 Force damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The damage increases by 2d4 for each spell slot level above 1st.
