You open a rift in the Material Plane connected to Limbo around your weapon, coating it in untamed energy. The next successful attack you make with this altered weapon does an additional 3d6 Necrotic damage. The target must succeed a Wisdom saving throw or become Tainted.
While the creature is Tainted, they take 4d4 Necrotic damage at the beginning of their turn and their movement is slowed by 10 feet. The condition lasts until the spell ends, concentration is broken, or the creature succeeds a Wisdom saving throw.
While the spell is still active, you make use your action to cause the affected target to explode in a 20 foot radius in a damage type of your choice. All creatures in a 20 foot radius must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure they take 4d6 damage of the chosen type. On a success, they take half as much.
