You channel the transformative power of fire to imbue an object or creature with a forging flame. Choose one of the following effects based on your intent:
1.Forge the Flesh (Support/Healing):
•Target a creature within touch range. Their wounds are lightly cauterized by magical fire, allowing them to regain 1d8 + your Intelligence modifier hit points. This fire does not harm the creature, and scars left behind fade within an hour.
2.Forge the Steel (Utility):
•You imbue a non-magical metal object you touch (such as a blade, shield, or tool) with searing flame. The object becomes red-hot, gaining the following properties for the duration:
•Weapons: The object deals an extra 1d4 fire damage on a hit.
•Tools: The object can be used to melt, solder, or manipulate small amounts of metal, such as breaking a lock or reshaping soft metals.
3.Forge the Path (Combat/Control):
•You create a line of molten flame on the ground in a 10-foot line, 5 feet wide, starting from a point you touch. The ground burns brightly for the duration, becoming difficult terrain and dealing 1d6 fire damage to any creature entering or starting its turn in the line.
At Higher Levels.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the healing, fire damage, or line damage increases by 1d8, 1d4, or 1d6, respectively, for each slot level above 1st.
Spell Lore
This spell exemplifies the Drakemantle family’s philosophy of “By Fire, We Forge,” drawing on the ancient art of reshaping the world through flame. Whether healing wounds, enhancing tools and weapons, or controlling the battlefield, the spell allows the caster to wield fire as a tool of creation and transformation.
