You attempt to absolve another creature of a negative emotion—such as guilt, anger, or self-loathing—that it is unable to let go of. To cast this spell, you must understand in detail the nature of this emotion. You must understand how the creature is feeling, the source of that emotion, and the nature of the creature’s inability to let go of that negative emotion. 

The target of this spell must make a Wisdom saving throw. It may not choose to voluntarily fail this saving throw. On a failed save, the target is no longer afflicted by this negative emotion. The emotion does not fade entirely—for instance, a creature that felt unbearable guilt over the death of a loved one will still feel guilty to an extent—but it fades to a degree where it is easily manageable, and does not impair the creature’s ability to function on a day to day basis.
